The Bridge Bar - Traditional Irish Music and Dance, Great Food and Great Craic.

When you hear of others who have fallen in love with the warmth and friendliness of Irish people, you can be sure that their love affair with Ireland began over a few pints of Guinness in a pub. Take time to chat to the locals like Patie Shea, Con Michael Curran and John Brennan here, and you'll find that the Irish reputation for hospitality and generosity is well-deserved.

Our pub, the Bridge Bar, is the perfect place to experience true village life. Irish life revolves around the pub and if you wish to really get to know us, then you're going to have to come in and make yourself known. When you're tired from the day's journey and want to sit down and sample a pint of Guinness and soak up the atmosphere, the Bar is the place to be.

The bar's award-winning food complements the standards of excellence we have set for ourselves in the Moorings Restaurant next door.

Both of us are very much involved with traditional Irish music and dance in South Kerry, and so it's natural that the bar hosts Irish nights every Tuesday night from June to August to showcase local musical and dancing talent. And if you want to know what exactly is meant by the term the craic, then you'll have to show up.

There are also regular Irish music sessions every Friday and Sunday night all year round. Sunday night, in particular, is the best night to visit for traditional Irish set dancing.

We won't make you dance if you don't want to, but we're happy to show you if you're interested. Some of our best dancers come from Hamburg and Brussels, so if they can do it, then so can you.

We also showcase great bands and throw some terrific parties throughout the year. This year's Halloween Costume party is still being talked about months afterwards. Keep an eye on our what's new page for details of upcoming events.
