St Patrick’s Weekend in and around Portmagee

Not sure how to spend St Patrick’s weekend? Well what about a trip to South Kerry?

There is plenty going on in and around Portmagee. Street parades, fun runs and plenty of music. The Moorings has a special accommodation offers too!

portmagee sea shanty festivalCaptain Magee and his jolly band of pirates will be aboard the “White Swan” in the Cahersiveen Paddy’s Day Parade on Monday afternoon – the float won the prize for ‘Most Entertaining Float’ last year thanks to the colourful costumes and enthusiastic Sea Shanty singing!

 

Other events include:
Fri 14th: ‘Country Roads’ play traditional music in the Bridge Bar Portmagee for set dancing, waltzes, quicksteps. Starts 10pm.

Sat 15th: 5k Fun Run in Cahersiveen. Starts 1pm.
Sat 15th: ‘Go Green Cahersiveen’ Party in Pulse Kerry Coast Inn Cahersiveen – celtic rock music with optional fancy dress. Starts 9.30pm

Sun 16th: 5k or 10k Fun Walk/Run in Portmagee. Starts 12pm (registration from 11am)
Sun 16th: Traditional music session in The Bridge Bar Portmagee – all musicians and singers welcome to join in. Starts 9pm.

Mon 17th: Street Parades in Cahersiveen, Waterville and Sneem – times to be confirmed..
